Club support recognised with award following the Martin Place Lindt cafe siege

During the Martin Place Lindt cafe siege, NSW Leagues Club was used as a command base by police as a ‘shelter for Sydney when tragedy struck.’

Management of the club assisted the police with their requirements in supporting the community at this difficult time.

Thanks to their support during this time, we are pleased to announce that NSW Leagues Club have won the 2015 Clubs NSW ‘Clubs & Community Award’ in the emergency services category. As part of the awards night, a short film has been produced to showcase the extent that the club was able to assist during the siege.
